RGB Channel Test

Reading screen information…DPR —— bit Browser report

Inspecting red, green and blue separately

An RGB display combines red, green and blue contributions to make an image. Isolating a channel provides another way to inspect subpixel behavior, visible uniformity and transitions.

Single-channel backgrounds

Switch between red, green and blue while inspecting the same locations. A point that stands out on only one background may behave differently from a dark point visible on all of them. Clean the surface first and cross-check with white and black before treating a tiny mark as a panel defect.

Gradients and mixtures

Channel ramps vary one RGB component across the pattern. Compare their smoothness and look for unexpected bands or colored breaks. The mixing pattern adds combinations of channels for a broader visual check. It does not measure the spectral output of the primaries or the accuracy of the display's white point.

Keep the output path consistent

Picture modes, color profiles and browser rendering can affect saturated colors. Compare channels at the same settings and use normal content as a follow-up. If a problem appears only in one application or image, investigate its source and color-management path as well as the screen.

How to run the test

Inspect defects that remain in the same screen position on single colors, then cross-check with mixtures.

  1. View red, green and blue in order.

  2. Switch to mixtures to observe combined output.

  3. Check channel gradients for smooth transitions.

Patterns support visual inspection. Quantitative color accuracy, brightness, gamut coverage and response time require appropriate instruments and methods.

Frequently asked questions

Can this website automatically certify my screen?

No. It provides display test patterns and browser information. Screen anomalies that persist at the same position need visual inspection and, when needed, professional assessment.

Can I use a phone, tablet or TV?

Open the patterns and guides for your device. True full screen and touch depend on the browser; an immersive page preview remains available when full screen is unsupported.

Do I need to install software or upload data?

No installation is needed. Patterns, calculations and interactions run locally in your browser; theme preferences stay on your device.

What should I do if I notice a problem?

Rule out dust, reflections and display settings. Repeat under the same conditions, photograph defects that remain in the same screen position and check the device warranty policy.
