Exploring sRGB color reproduction

sRGB is a common color space for web images. The reference chart, grayscale and skin-tone patterns let you inspect several aspects of reproduction using one familiar set of colors.

Reference patches

The chart places representative colors beside one another so that a broad cast or unexpected relationship is easier to see. Keep brightness and picture mode unchanged while comparing patches. The chart is drawn by your browser through the current color-management path, so its appearance depends on more than the panel alone.

Gray balance and skin tones

Compare neutral steps before moving to skin-tone references. A cast in gray can influence the appearance of every colored patch. Skin-tone patches add another visual comparison, but they are not photographs or an independent color standard. Avoid judging accuracy from one patch in isolation.

Coverage and accuracy are different

A display may have a wide gamut and still reproduce a particular color inaccurately. Conversely, a browser capability hint is not a measurement of sRGB coverage. To establish coverage or numerical color error, use a measured profile and the appropriate test procedure.

How to run the test

sRGB patterns support observation; they do not calculate the screen's sRGB coverage.

  1. Confirm your device's color mode.

  2. Check whether grays are neutral and skin tones look natural.

  3. Consider browser color management alongside device specifications.

Patterns support visual inspection. Quantitative color accuracy, brightness, gamut coverage and response time require appropriate instruments and methods.

Frequently asked questions

Can this website automatically certify my screen?

No. It provides display test patterns and browser information. Screen anomalies that persist at the same position need visual inspection and, when needed, professional assessment.

Can I use a phone, tablet or TV?

Open the patterns and guides for your device. True full screen and touch depend on the browser; an immersive page preview remains available when full screen is unsupported.

Do I need to install software or upload data?

No installation is needed. Patterns, calculations and interactions run locally in your browser; theme preferences stay on your device.

What should I do if I notice a problem?

Rule out dust, reflections and display settings. Repeat under the same conditions, photograph defects that remain in the same screen position and check the device warranty policy.
